WHAT IS HELI-SKIING
Heli-skiing is a downhill skiing sport in which skiers are directly sent to the snowy mountains in wild snow areas by helicopter, so skiers do not have to take uphill cranes or hike into the snowy mountains. With the help of helicopters and guides, skiers can easily enter the remote snow-capped mountains without the need for time-consuming and labor-intensive trekking to reach their destinations, and can easily glide in the most pure and simple natural world without having to have a complicated knowledge of snow-capped mountains.
IS IT SAFE?
In heli-skiing, the existence of many factors such as extremely experienced instructors, professional pilots who are proficient in winter mountain flying skills, sturdy aircraft fuselage, and strict daily weather and environmental testing have greatly reduced the risk factor of skiing.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Heli-ski operators provide equipment rental. Considering the threat of avalanches, in addition to bringing an avalanche radio transceiver, skiers must travel with two persons. The heli-ski package service includes radio transceivers and avalanche beacons, airbags and such equipment.
